Increasing Transparency, Collaboration and Governance through a Faculty Union

An opportunity to discuss improving collaboration, increasing transparency and strengthening governance through faculty unions with experienced Cal State faculty union leaders and labor expert Bruce Nissen.  CFA faculty leaders will discuss their experience as both faculty senate leaders and union board members, success in winning state money for new tenure lines and much needed student support and collaborative work throughout the system.  Bruce Nissen has been involved in many campaigns and studies regarding unions, including FIU (an R1)’s work on winning transparency in use of indirect costs.
